About the Glory Gospel Group Since 2002
The Glory Gospel Group formed as camping neighbors, we would gather around the camp fire at the Timberwoods Campground and sing old folk & Southern Gospel songs.
Folks passing by would say "we haven't heard those old songs in years" or "you don't hear them being sung anymore" They would return with a chair in tow to sit & enjoy the music.
After the season ended~God called us to share the music at nursing homes and give back to those who cannot get out anymore & sometimes are forgotten.
Then as time went on, we were asked to sing at other functions. (Listings here)
That's how the Glory Gospel Group started, plain & simple. Giving Thanks to God for allowing us to sing those old southern gospel songs that seem to touch so many hearts and we love singing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ through song.
Those old gospel songs will touch any ole heart.
We play with a variety of instruments
(no pre recorded music during our performances)
live.....like in the good ole days of front porch "Pick'n 'n Grin'n"

You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow & surrounded me with joy.
